Press-Enterprise readers chose us as the #1
Plastic Surgery Office in Riverside County |
|
Imagine my surprise when a friend on
Facebook posted a congratulatory message to
me. I had no idea. It turns out The Press
Enterprise Readers' Choice Awards, which was
a supplement in the paper a few weeks ago,
named us as the premier plastic surgery
office in the entire county! Our sincere
thanks to all those who voted for us. We
love what we do, and we love taking
excellent care of our patients.
At Dr.
Denes Cosmetic Surgery Center, we
have been accredited by the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
(www.jointcommission.org)
for the past 5 years, and just passed our
3rd accreditation survey in August.

COSMETIC SEMINAR A HUGE
SUCCESS!
|
|
We had a blast at our recent
Cosmetic Procedures Seminar
last Tuesday night at the
YMCA-Simpson Center in
Hemet. Over 100 people
attended, feasted on a
wonderful buffet catered by
Beth Tonish, chatted with
our partners (see list
below,) listened to a
presentation on new trends
in cosmetic surgery, saw a
fashion show presented by
Alene Denes from Coeur
d'Alene, and watched 3 live
"Liquid Facelift"
demonstrations by our
aesthetic nurse April
Turner, RN. And after all
that, we still had time for
a drawing, gave away a $1000
and 5 $100 gift
certificates, as well as
dozens of gift baskets, gym
bags and skin care products.
If you were there, THANKS
for attending. If you missed
it, don't worry. We plan to
make this a regular event.

XEOMIN - A newcomer to the Botox
market |
|
Merz Aesthetics has just
received FDA approval for a
botulinum toxin type A,
similar to Botox. The
difference between the two
seems to be the protein
surrounding the active
molecule. Xeomin has less
protein than Botox. So what?
Well, it may help make it
last a little longer.
Proteins surrounding the
molecule are thought to
cause antibody production in
the patient receiving it,
thereby inactivating and
defeating the action of the
muscle relaxation property
of the drug. With less
protein, less antibody is
formed and less (or slower)
destruction of the product
by the body's immune system.
At least, that's the theory.
Our office has been chosen
as an investigational site,
to test the effects of
Xeomin as compared to Botox.
So far, our initial
impressions are pretty
favorable. But it's early.
More information to follow.
